Rideau River Rapids By Carleton University

The Rideau River and the Rideau Canal are not only strong parts of the city history, but they form part of the city's social fabric even today. At Petawawa you pass Canadian Forces Base Petawawa, a major military training ground and a Forestry Research Station.
